Happy 5,000th Day Anniversary

Today,  August 24th, 2009, marks the 5,000th day I’ve been married.  Happy Anniversary Shar!

Happy Birthday Brothers!

Two of my brothers celebrate their birthdays today…so allow me to say “Happy Birthday Brothers!”
I have  a wonderful family and these two brothers help make it so.  I love you guys.  Hope you had a great day.

happy anniversary to us

Today I celebrate thirteen years of happiness with Shar (plus four of dating her before that). It is crazy to think that I’ve been married for so long. But I have loved every bit of it. I am a better man because of Shar. She helps me think clearly, sleep well, [...]

Happy Birthday Mom!

(A photo of my Dad, Mom, me, and Shar)

Well, today is my Mom’s birthday. I love you mom!

In the first half of December my parents both celebrate their birthdays which causes me to ponder their influence on my life. I have to say that I am quite pleased. I have awesome parents.

I know the economy is tough on a lot of people and you might need some ideas on getting inexpensive food. With that in mind, I share this story; perhaps it will help some city folk get some meat in the freezer.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Our family went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) concert last night.  It was outstanding – the word “outstanding” doesn’t quite cover it.  It is a feast of lights, fire, sound, and story that is simply a joy to behold.
A few people have asked something like, “so, how was the orchestra?”  I think that they thought [...]

Ah, the Good Ol’ Days

Through the world of Facebook I have experienced a recent blast from the past. There is a group on Facebook called “Camp Pinerock – Nazarene Camp.” I joined this group because I spent quite some time at old Camp Pinerock – it is a family tradition (see my post Honoring the Past).

Well several [...]
